At the end of 2021, we embarked on our ESG journey with a clear goal: to give our best so that SimScale continues to grow sustainably<\/strong>\u2014caring for the environment, protecting our team members and the communities where we operate, and conducting business in an ethical, responsible, and transparent manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Without a doubt, 2024 was a year full of achievements and milestones, and we\u2019re so happy that we\u2019d like to share them with you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Environmental<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For the third consecutive year, SimScale measured its carbon footprint with ClimatePartner<\/strong>, reaffirming its commitment to understanding the company\u2019s environmental impact. This knowledge will translate into concrete measures that bring us closer to joining global net-zero commitments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, we developed our Sustainable Office Program<\/strong>, a series of initiatives and campaigns aimed not only at reducing emissions generated by our daily operations but also at raising awareness (through gamification) about current environmental challenges and how we can contribute to improving the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of this, we launched campaigns for cleaning up digitally stored files, organized e-waste recycling events, and created supplier selection guides for office products based on ecological criteria, among others.This program has also been registered under the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (<\/strong>SDG 12<\/strong><\/a>)<\/strong>, and as of the publication of this article, it is in the approval process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Social<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On the social front, we carried out campaigns encouraging more team members to join our volunteering program<\/strong>, helping support their local communities. From teaching new technologies in schools to aiding natural disaster victims and participating in reforestation initiatives, many SimScalers dedicated time to giving back to the world.<\/p>\n\n\n

We also strengthened our internal recognition program<\/strong> with initiatives like the Reward & Recognition Program<\/strong>, which celebrates the outstanding achievements of our team members throughout the year. Several SimScalers have already received their 2024 awards, and we\u2019re excited for the upcoming 2025 recognitions!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Governance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SimScale\u2019s governance structure was also reinforced throughout 2024. We introduced six new policies into our program<\/strong> while reviewing and improving our existing framework to ensure it remains up-to-date and effective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, our team members received training on various governance-related topics, including best practices, mental health, and cybersecurity risks. In total, 210 hours of ESG training have been delivered across the organization<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, 2024 has been a year of enhanced communication, both internally and externally. In addition to publishing blogs that showcase our passion for sustainability and promote best practices, we have introduced quarterly ESG check-ins<\/strong> with team members, providing both retrospective insights and educational discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have also launched our monthly ESG Newsletter<\/strong>, designed to keep everyone informed about the latest developments in environmental, social, and governance matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we continue this journey, we remain committed to making a lasting impact\u2014within SimScale and beyond!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
