We’ve been running simulations of our FS car without issue for over a year with mostly the same meshing setup, with minor tweaks when introducing alterations (such as additional refinements in that area). Our mesh has had around 14-15 million cells consistently, with usually around 300ish cells not falling into the recommended non-ortogonality range of below 88 degrees (which never affected the convergence of the simulation). However, 2 weeks ago, this meshing setup has out of the blue become of very bad quality (edge, aspect and volume ratios of over 50 000) and all of these problematic cells are located on the xy plane (where the moving wall boundary condition is located to simulate the relative movement of the road while driving the vehicle). Most of these bad cells aren’t even visible in Mesh Inspection. All of these meshing issues have caused the divergence of all solvers when trying to run the simulation. Any info on whether there has been any updates in the software and which steps we can take to solve these issues would be very welcomed. Thank you in advance!!
